Political groups from Hadejia, Auyo, and Kafin Hausa Federal Constituency in Jigawa State have appealed to Governor Umar Namadi to allow and support Yakubu A.H. Ruba, SAN, to contest the 2027 House of Representatives election.
In a written appeal, the groups said their position was driven by a shared desire for unity, development, and stronger representation at the National Assembly.
They urged the governor to consider Ruba’s long-standing experience in law and politics, describing him as a distinguished legal practitioner and politician with deep grassroots connections and a consistent record of public service.
According to them, Ruba’s political journey through platforms such as the NRC, SDP, and ACN has equipped him with valuable experience, broad political understanding, and the capacity to effectively represent the constituency at the national level.
The groups argued that at a time when constituents are demanding effective and result-driven representation, Ruba stands out as a credible candidate who can amplify the voice of Jigawa North East.
They further stated that his candidacy would complement the developmental strides of Governor Namadi while strengthening the political influence of Jigawa State at the federal level.
The appeal also emphasized that the call reflects a collective aspiration involving youths, elders, women, and community leaders who believe leadership should be entrusted to individuals with proven integrity, competence, and vision.
Expressing confidence in the governor’s commitment to fairness and inclusive leadership, the groups urged him to give favourable consideration to Ruba’s ambition.
They concluded by reaffirming their support, describing his potential emergence as a step toward hope, progress, and stronger representation for the constituency
