Fidelity Bank Breaks Silence on Delay in Publishing Half-Year Financial Statements

Fidelity Bank Plc has addressed the delay in publishing its Audited Financial Statements (AFS) for the half year ended June 30, 2024.


In a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), the bank explained that the AFS is currently under review and will be presented to the Central Bank of Nigeria for approval before publication.


The bank also addressed the recent fine of N555.8 million imposed by the Nigerian Data Protection Commission (NDPC) for a data breach. Fidelity Bank assured the public that it has conducted itself with the highest ethical standards and is engaging with the regulator to resolve the issue.


Additionally, the bank reminded its insiders and connected persons that the trading window for dealing in its shares is currently closed and will remain so until 24 hours after the publication of the AFS for H1 2024
