Dufil Prima Foods Plc and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) are set to deepen their collaboration on road safety advocacy, with plans to expand their longstanding partnership to a national scale.
This commitment emerged during a courtesy visit by Dufil’s Director of Special Projects, Rajesh Gaggar, and Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager, Temitope Ashiwaju, to the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, at the FRSC Headquarters in Abuja.
Discussions focused on broadening joint initiatives aimed at promoting road safety awareness, encouraging responsible driving behaviour, and strengthening public education campaigns targeting motorists, commercial riders, students, and the general public.
The renewed engagement builds on a partnership that has spanned more than 15 years, during which both organisations have implemented several impactful interventions at the state level. One of the key platforms for this collaboration has been the Indomie Fan Club (IFC), through which thousands of schoolchildren have been educated on road safety while advocating for the inclusion of road safety education in primary school curricula.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to review previous initiatives and identify new areas for collaboration under the leadership of the Corps Marshal. Highlighting Dufil’s contributions to road safety, Ashiwaju cited the company’s donation of 10,000 safety helmets to commercial motorcycle riders and the renovation of the FRSC Lagos office.
“Road safety remains a critical area of our social impact agenda. We are pleased to engage with the FRSC leadership on opportunities to scale these efforts and extend their reach across the country,” Ashiwaju said.
Commending Dufil’s sustained support for road safety advocacy, Corps Marshal Mohammed underscored the vital role of private-sector partnerships in reducing road crashes and fostering a stronger safety culture nationwide.
Both organisations also explored future areas of collaboration, including nationwide school outreach programmes, public enlightenment campaigns, and additional support for FRSC initiatives. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing national road safety objectives and creating safer roads for all Nigerians.
