The National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) recently organized a one-day training event at LCC1 Alausa Ikeja, themed “Report Nigeria to Rebrand Nigeria”.
The event aimed to inspire security journalists to highlight positive stories about the country, fostering a narrative of growth and optimism.
Speaking at the event, AIG Olatoye Durosimi of Zone 2 Nigeria Police Force advised journalists to verify information before publication, emphasizing the importance of accuracy in building public trust.
While Mr. Adetokunbo Modupe, one of the facilitators, encouraged attendees to focus on stories that reflect positive change and promote the country’s security advancements.
Journalists from various media outlets attended the training and were encouraged to write uplifting stories that showcase Nigeria’s potential and achievements.
The event concluded with certificates of participation awarded to attendees, recognizing their commitment to responsible and constructive journalism.
NAOSNP underscored the significant role of the media in shaping public perception and urged journalists to actively contribute to the rebranding of Nigeria by promoting a narrative of progress and full security.
